The route so far, and next

Suka is fieldwork before it is a shop. This is the journey log: every cluster visit in order, what each one brought home — films, notes, library entries — and where the route goes next.

Documented

Ahead

Published before it happens, because saying so out loud is how a plan survives. Dates are seasons, not promises — the loom sheds set the calendar, not us.

  1. Late 2026 · Striped ikat

    Warangal

The durrie and tussar looms. The plan is a tools film for the library — reed, shuttle and treadle, each in a working close-up.

  2. Early 2027 · Maroon ikat

    Nizamabad

The cluster the catalogue knows least well. First contact travel: meet the weavers, record consent, and let the shelves follow.

A visit earns its place here once its material is published — a film on the shelf, a note on the record, entries in the library. Travel without the homework is tourism, and that is a different website.

A few dozen pieces a year come off eight clusters of looms. Whatever you put here stays in this browser until you clear it.

Tap the heart on any piece to keep it here while you make up your mind. Saving does not reserve anything — a last piece can still go.
