Venkatagiri is woven at a very fine count, which is why the cloth falls the way it does. The silver butis are worked in on the loom rather than embroidered afterwards, so the reverse shows the float, not a knot. Colour — Ivory, Silver Technique — Fine-count cotton with jamdani butis, woven at Venkatagiri over 14 days on the loom. Fabric — Cotton with silver zari Speciality — Each buti is inserted by hand with a separate thread while the ground is being woven. The Suka promise — Handloom, never powerloom. A named cluster, a counted number of hands, and a making record you can read. Note — Comes with an unstitched blouse piece. Where a model is photographed, the blouse shown is styled separately. Because it is handwoven, small irregularities in the weave and slight variation in colour are inherent to the cloth. They are the evidence of a hand, not a fault in it.14 days on the loom · 2 pairs of hands · 100% handloomThe making record Ships from — Suka workshop, Hyderabad Sold by — Suka Indian Handlooms Woven at — Venkatagiri, Andhra Pradesh Hands — 2 weavers, named on the making record Gift wrap — Available at checkout 7 days returnable · Free delivery across India · 100% handloom · Named weaver · Care guide in every parcel · Secure checkoutShipping Despatched from the Hyderabad workshop within two working days.
